Yesterday, on my day off, I went for a walk to Centennial Park (a really
nice park that's about 3 blocks from my house) with my camera. It was
cool (not cold), and really sunny, so the lighting was excellent.
I took my new mp3 player with me to put it through it's paces. I got a
lot of awesome shots, many of them were macros. I'm a little surprised
that so many of them turned out well, because my hand was a little shaky
for some of them, and that can be disasterous for macros..
The sheer variety of colours, textures, and surfaces was mind blowing! I
had a really, really great time, and was extremely pleased with the
quality of the shots :). Pretty soon, I may have to make a photography
section (since nobody outside of my immediate family has seen my
photography) in the gallery if this keeps up!
Of course, as is typical with Thunder Bay weather, today we got a
snowstorm, and it's still coming down! I'll head out in a few minutes to
shovel....and I'll have to shovel again tomorrow after work, because the
plow will most likely come by in the morning (or early afternoon, either
way I'll be at work).
This little burst of photographic creativity has meant that the new
drawing has been ignored for a little while...I must revisit it on
Tuesday and Thursday (my days off this week). Wow, what a long post!
Heheh :)
I started work on a new (old) drawing. It's one of the old sketches that
I did in 1998. It will probably be done in a similar style to the 2003
stuff. There are still 3 other old sketches that will become new works
after this one is finished.
I bought myself an mp3 player the other day, looking forward to that
coming in!! And......I will endeavor to put titles in each new blog
post, as it looks cool.
Jeez! It's starting to get warm again at work! On more than one occasion
in the last two weeks we've had to fire up our little fan, and cool
things down...
It sure is nice having the good computer working again... little things
like playing video games are enjoyable again :).
